Björn Lugthart

Björn Lugthart is a Dutch politician who has served as the Mayor of Pijnacker-Nootdorp since January 17, 2022. Before his appointment as mayor, he held various local government positions in Rijswijk, including serving as a municipal councilor and alderman. Initially associated with the Socialist Party, he later became an independent politician and co-founded the local political movement Wij. Rijswijk. Throughout his career, he has focused on policy areas such as public health, social affairs, and urban mobility.
