Bjørnar Skjæran

Bjørnar Skjæran is a Norwegian politician who has served as a member of the Storting representing Nordland since 2021. A member of the Labour Party, he previously served as the Minister of Fisheries from 2021 to 2023 and as the party's deputy leader from 2019 to 2023. Before his national political career, he was a farmer and self-employed, and served as the mayor of Lurøy Municipality from 2011 to 2015. He has held various leadership roles within the Labour Party, including parliamentary leader.
