Bob Peterson

Bob Peterson is an American politician who served as a member of the Ohio Senate representing the 17th District, where he held the position of President Pro Tempore. Prior to his tenure in the Senate, he served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives and spent fourteen years as a Fayette County Commissioner. A graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in Agriculture, Peterson has been recognized for his advocacy for small businesses and the agricultural sector. He is notably known for co-sponsoring the 2019 'Heartbeat Bill,' which sought to restrict abortion access in Ohio.
