Branislav Gröhling is a Slovak politician currently serving as a member of the National Council of Slovakia and as the leader of the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party. Before entering politics, he was a successful entrepreneur and owner of a hairdressing chain in Bratislava. He served as the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sports from 2020 to 2022, where he navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the influx of refugees from the Russo-Ukrainian War. Known for his focus on vocational education reform, he assumed the leadership of his party in March 2024.
