Brendan Smith is an Irish politician who has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cavan–Monaghan constituency since 1992. A member of the Fianna Fáil party, he has held several ministerial positions, including Minister for Justice and Law Reform and Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Throughout his long parliamentary career, he has chaired the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade and served as chair of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party. He remains an active legislator representing his constituency in the Dáil.
