Brian Nathan is an American politician and labor leader currently serving as a member of the Florida State Senate, representing the 14th district in Hillsborough County. A Navy veteran, Nathan assumed office in March 2026 after winning a special election to succeed Jay Collins, who had been appointed Lieutenant Governor of Florida. Nathan narrowly defeated Republican candidate Josie Tomkow in the special election and is preparing for a rematch against her in the upcoming November general election to retain his seat.
