A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) since 1991, she has served in the Krefeld City Council since 1999 and held the position of deputy chair of the CDU faction there since 2012. Professionally, she has worked as a banker at Sparkasse Krefeld since 1996. Oellers was first elected to the state parliament in 2017 and successfully defended her direct mandate in the 2022 state elections. Within the Landtag, she focuses on labor, health, social affairs, and family policy.
