Camila Nieto

Camila Nieto is a Chilean politician and lawyer who currently serves as the Mayor of Valparaíso, having assumed office in December 2024. She is the first woman to be elected to this position in the city's history. Before her election as mayor, she served as a councilwoman for Valparaíso from 2021 to 2024. A graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Nieto has a background in student leadership and community activism, having been involved in various academic and labor-related initiatives during her university years.
