Tomás Vodanovic

Tomás Vodanovic Escudero is a Chilean sociologist and politician currently serving as the Mayor of Maipú. A member of the Frente Amplio coalition, he previously belonged to the Democratic Revolution party. Before entering politics, he founded the NGO Formando Chile and worked as a teacher. Since assuming office in 2021, he has focused on urban modernization, public safety, and expanding healthcare infrastructure. In 2024, he was re-elected with a record-breaking number of votes, solidifying his role as a prominent figure in Chilean local governance.
