Carlos Orleans Brandão Júnior is a Brazilian politician currently serving as the Governor of Maranhão. He assumed the governorship on April 2, 2022, following the resignation of his predecessor, Flávio Dino. Prior to his current role, Brandão served as the Vice Governor of Maranhão from 2015 to 2022 and held two consecutive terms as a Federal Deputy for the state. He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the State University of Maranhão and is affiliated with the Brazilian Socialist Party.
