Carlos Caceido

Carlos Eduardo Caicedo Omar is a Colombian politician and lawyer who served as the Governor of Magdalena from 2020 until his resignation in October 2023. Previously, he served as the Mayor of Santa Marta from 2012 to 2015 and as the Rector of the University of the Magdalena. A prominent progressive leader in the Colombian Caribbean, Caicedo founded the Fuerza Ciudadana movement and has been a vocal critic of traditional political clans.
