Sandra Ramírez

Sandra Ramírez Lobo Silva is a Colombian politician and former combatant of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). Born in La Paz, Santander, she joined the FARC in 1981, serving as a combat nurse and radio operator. Following the 2016 peace treaty, she transitioned into politics as a member of the Commons party. She was elected to the Senate of Colombia in 2018 and has served in various leadership roles, including second vice president of the Senate. Her political career focuses on the implementation of the peace accords and representing the interests of her party within the Colombian Congress.
