Isabel Cristina Zuleta López

Isabel Cristina Zuleta López is a Colombian politician, environmental activist, and human rights defender. Elected to the Colombian Senate in 2022 as part of the Historic Pact coalition, she is widely recognized for her leadership in the Ríos Vivos movement, where she campaigned against the social and ecological impacts of the Hidroituango dam. Her legislative work focuses on environmental protection, gender equity, and the defense of collective rights. Previously, she served as a social leader and spokesperson for communities affected by large-scale infrastructure projects and has been a prominent voice in the national dialogue regarding peace and urban violence reduction.
