César Pachón is a Colombian politician and agronomist currently serving as a Senator of the Republic for the 2022-2026 term. He gained national prominence as a leader during the 2013 National Agrarian Strike and co-founded the Committee for Potato Dignity and Food Sovereignty, advocating against free trade agreements. Previously, he served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives for the department of Boyacá from 2018 to 2022. Pachón holds a degree in agronomy from the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia and has been a vocal proponent of agricultural rights and food security.
