Carolina Viggiano Austria

Carolina Viggiano Austria is a Mexican politician currently serving as a Senator of the Republic for the state of Hidalgo for the 2024–2030 term. A lawyer by profession, she has held numerous public offices, including multiple terms as a federal deputy in the Chamber of Deputies and as the Secretary General of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Throughout her career, she has served in various administrative roles, including as the Director General of CONAFE and as a magistrate in the Superior Court of Justice of Hidalgo. Viggiano has been a prominent figure in Mexican politics, notably running for the governorship of Hidalgo in 2022.
