Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar is a Mexican politician, historian, and anthropologist currently serving as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies. A prominent figure in the Mexican left, he was a founding member of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) before joining the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) in 2014. Throughout his career, he has been a vocal advocate for social justice, notably leading the 'El Barzón' movement to support bank debtors. He also served as the interim national president of Morena in 2020, where he focused on strengthening legislative alliances to support the administration's 'Fourth Transformation' agenda.
