Catelin Drey

Catelin Drey is an American politician serving as a member of the Iowa Senate for the first district. Originally from North Dakota, she moved to Sioux City, Iowa, to attend Morningside University. Before entering the legislature, she founded the grassroots organization Moms for Iowa and served as president of the Siouxland Growth Organization. In 2025, she won a special election to the Iowa Senate, a victory that ended the Republican supermajority in the chamber. Her political platform focuses on accessible childcare, public education funding, bodily autonomy, and economic equality.
