Catherine Stefani

Catherine Stefani is an American attorney and politician currently serving as a member of the California State Assembly for the 19th district, having assumed office in 2024. Prior to her state-level service, she was a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors representing District 2 from 2018 to 2024 and served as the San Francisco County Clerk. Throughout her career, Stefani has focused on issues such as gun violence prevention, housing policy, and government accountability, notably introducing legislation to strengthen contracting procedures and address mental health service mismanagement. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law and previously worked as a deputy district attorney.
