Chandra Mohan Patowary is an Indian politician from Assam who serves as a cabinet minister in the government of Himanta Biswa Sarma and as a Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly representing the Dharmapur constituency. First elected to the assembly six times, he has previously held various ministerial portfolios including health, agriculture, environment and forests, and served as the Leader of the Opposition from 2006 to 2011. He formerly led the Asom Gana Parishad before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014.
