Previously, he served in the National Assembly from 2018 to 2023. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various political movements, including serving as the District Nazim of Jhelum in 2001. Initially elected to the National Assembly on a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ticket in 2018, he later defected to join the opposition alliance during the 2022 no-confidence motion against Imran Khan.
