Cheikh Taylor is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives for the 38th district. Born in Columbus and raised in Starkville, Mississippi, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University. Taylor was first elected to the state legislature in 2016 and assumed office in 2017. During his tenure, he has served as the vice chair of the County Affairs Committee. In July 2023, he was elected to serve as the chair of the Mississippi Democratic Party.
