Cheryl Gallant

Cheryl Gallant is a long-serving Canadian politician who has represented the riding of Renfrew—Nipissing—Pembroke in the House of Commons since 2000. A member of the Conservative Party, she is recognized as one of the longest-serving female MPs in the federal caucus. Before entering politics, she worked as a group insurance executive and an office manager. Throughout her career, Gallant has been a vocal social conservative, focusing on issues such as property rights, military support for CFB Petawawa, and opposition to carbon pricing. She has served on numerous parliamentary committees, including those focused on national defence and industry.
