Chiara Appendino

Chiara Appendino is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies. She previously served as the Mayor of Turin from 2016 to 2021, becoming the first directly elected woman to hold the office. A member of the Five Star Movement, she has also been active as a sports manager, serving as vice president of the Italian Tennis Federation. Her political career has been marked by significant urban initiatives, including the successful bid for the ATP Finals in Turin, alongside various legal challenges related to her mayoral tenure.
