Chiu Yi-ying

Chiu Yi-ying is a Taiwanese politician and a long-serving member of the Legislative Yuan. Born in 1971, she began her political career in the National Assembly before transitioning to the Legislative Yuan in 2001. She previously served as the deputy minister of the Hakka Affairs Council from 2005 to 2008. A member of the Democratic Progressive Party, she has been a prominent figure in national politics, known for her active participation in legislative committee proceedings and her advocacy for various social and infrastructure policies. Throughout her career, she has navigated significant personal challenges, including a public battle with ovarian cancer, while maintaining a consistent presence in the Taiwanese political landscape.
