Chris Rothfuss

Chris Rothfuss is an American politician serving as a member of the Wyoming Senate, representing District 9 since 2011. A chemical engineer and academic by profession, he previously worked for the U.S. Department of State as a lead for nanotechnology foreign policy and served as a delegate to the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. In the Wyoming legislature, he has been a prominent advocate for blockchain technology and digital innovation, notably co-authoring the Wyoming Stable Token Act and legislation recognizing decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). He also served as the Senate Minority Leader from 2013 to 2025 and remains active in education policy and economic development committees.
