Christian Hümmer is a German politician who has served as the Lord Mayor of the city of Traunstein since May 1, 2020. Born in 1981 in Traunstein, he pursued a legal career and earned a doctorate in law from the University of Passau in 2011, subsequently working as a specialist lawyer for administrative law. Before his election as mayor, he was active in local politics as a member of the Traunstein city council and served as the chairman of the Junge Union in Upper Bavaria. He was re-elected to his current office in March 2026.
