Cem Özdemir is a German politician who has served as the Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg since May 2026. A prominent member of Alliance 90/The Greens, he previously held federal cabinet positions, including Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture and Federal Minister of Education and Research. Throughout his career, he has been a member of the German Bundestag and the European Parliament, and served as the federal chairman of his party from 2008 to 2018. Known for his focus on integration and social policy, he was the first person of Turkish descent to serve as a federal minister in Germany.
