Christian Menefee is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. representative for Texas's 18th congressional district since 2026. Prior to his election to Congress, he served as the Harris County Attorney from 2021 to 2026, where he became the youngest person and the first African American to hold that office. During his tenure as County Attorney, Menefee gained national attention for his legal challenges against Texas state officials regarding voting rights, mask mandates, and environmental regulations. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio and Washington University School of Law, and he previously practiced law at Norton Rose Fulbright and Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
