Christie New Craig is an American politician serving as a member of the Virginia Senate, representing the 19th district since her election in 2023. Prior to her tenure in the state senate, she served three consecutive terms on the Chesapeake City School Board, having been elected in 2010, 2014, and 2018. In 2017, she also sought the Republican nomination for Chesapeake City Commissioner of the Revenue. Her current term in the Virginia Senate is scheduled to expire in 2028.
