Christoph Ploß

Christoph Ploß is a German politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag representing Hamburg since 2017. In addition to his parliamentary duties, he has served as the Coordinator for the Maritime Industry and Tourism at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy since 2025. Throughout his career, he has been a member of the Committee on European Affairs and the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure. Ploß previously chaired the CDU in Hamburg from 2020 to 2023 and currently leads the regional group of the CDU in the Bundestag. Politically, he has been noted for his opposition to mandatory gender quotas within the party and his support for conservative leadership figures like Friedrich Merz.
