
Florian Hartmann

Florian Hartmann is a German politician who has served as the Mayor (Oberbürgermeister) of the city of Dachau since 2014. Born in 1986, he studied mechanical engineering with a focus on environmental technology at the Munich University of Applied Sciences before briefly working as a project engineer. Hartmann began his political career in the Dachau Youth Council and was elected to the Dachau City Council in 2008. Upon his election as mayor in 2014, he became the youngest person to hold that office in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany at the age of 27. He has since been re-elected to the position, most recently in 2026.
