Christopherson Yap

Christopherson Macabata Yap is a Filipino politician currently serving as the representative for the second district of Southern Leyte in the House of Representatives of the Philippines, a position he has held since 2022. Prior to his congressional service, he served two terms as the Vice Governor of Southern Leyte from 2016 to 2022 and briefly acted as the province's governor in 2017. Educated at the University of San Carlos, Yap has remained a prominent figure in local politics despite facing legal challenges in the past, which were ultimately dismissed.
