Zia Alonto Adiong

Zia Alonto Adiong is a Filipino politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, representing the 1st district of Lanao del Sur. Prior to his election to the House, he served as a member of the Bangsamoro Parliament from 2019 to 2022, where he played a significant role in advancing regional autonomy within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. A recipient of the 2019 The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) award, Adiong is known for his advocacy on peace, reconciliation, and unity, and he has been a vocal critic of political rhetoric involving religious intolerance and violence. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Xavier University – Ateneo University – Ateneo de Cagayan.
