Cida Gonçalves is a Brazilian politician, feminist activist, and the current Minister of Women in Brazil. Born in 1962, she has dedicated her career to public policy regarding gender equality and the prevention of violence against women. She previously served as the National Secretary of Violence Against Women during the Lula and Rousseff administrations and played a key role in founding the Popular Movements Center. Since assuming her ministerial office in January 2023, she has advocated for the centrality of women's rights in global political debates.
