Cindi Tuncel is a German politician and a member of the Bremische Bürgerschaft, representing the party The Left (Die Linke). Born in Mardin, Turkey, he arrived in Germany as a child with his family, who fled persecution as members of the Yazidi minority. Tuncel holds a degree in social work and previously worked as a family support worker and project manager for the Landessportbund Bremen. Since his election to the state parliament in 2011, he has served as a deputy parliamentary group leader and spokesperson for youth, migration, and sports. He is known for his advocacy on social integration and his critical stance regarding German foreign policy toward Turkey.
