Chandra Kant Raut, popularly known as Dr. CK Raut, is a Nepalese politician, scientist, and former Member of the House of Representatives. Born in 1977, he initially gained prominence as an activist and the founder of the Alliance for Independent Madhesh, which advocated for the independence of the Madhesh region. In 2019, he renounced secessionist activities to join mainstream politics and founded the Janamat Party. He was elected to the Nepalese Parliament in 2022 but resigned from his seat in September 2025 following national protests.
