Clément Gignac is a Canadian politician and economist currently serving as a member of the Senate of Canada, representing Quebec. Before his appointment to the Senate in 2021, he served as a member of the National Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Marguerite-Bourgeoys from 2009 to 2012, during which time he held the position of Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade. An expert in economics, Gignac previously held senior roles at National Bank Financial and Industrial Alliance, and has served as a special advisor to the federal deputy minister of finance.
