Claire Fox is a British writer, journalist, and politician who serves as a non-affiliated life peer in the House of Lords. A prominent right-wing libertarian and lifelong Eurosceptic, she founded the think tank Academy of Ideas. Previously a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party, she later transitioned into media, becoming a well-known commentator on BBC programmes such as The Moral Maze. Fox served as a Member of the European Parliament for North West England from 2019 to 2020 before being nominated for a peerage. She is a vocal advocate for free speech and has authored works including 'I Find That Offensive!'.
