Claire Lejeune

Claire Lejeune is a French politician and academic who has served as a member of the National Assembly for the 7th constituency of Essonne since July 2024. A former climate activist and co-secretary of the Young Ecologists, she transitioned from Europe Ecology – The Greens to La France Insoumise in 2022, seeking a political platform focused on breaking with capitalist systems. Lejeune holds a background in philosophy and political science, having studied at the École normale supérieure de Lyon and Sciences Po, where she also pursued doctoral research on ecological planning. She is recognized for her commitment to radical ecology and currently contributes to the ecological planning department of the Institut La Boétie.
