Clyde Lee Chambliss Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the Alabama Senate for the 30th district since 2014. A civil engineer by profession, he founded his own engineering firm after graduating from the University of Alabama in 1992. In the legislature, he is known for his conservative stance on social issues, most notably as the sponsor of the 2019 Human Life Protection Act, which sought to implement a near-total ban on abortion in the state of Alabama.
