Colm Merrick is a Scottish politician serving as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Glasgow Anniesland constituency since 2026, having succeeded Bill Kidd. A member of the Scottish National Party (SNP), he previously contested the Eastwood constituency in the 2021 Scottish Parliament election. In addition to his parliamentary duties, Merrick has served as a councillor for the Giffnock and Thornliebank ward on East Renfrewshire Council since 2017, with his tenure reaffirmed in the 2022 local elections.
