Corey Jackson is an American politician currently serving as a member of the California State Assembly, representing the 60th district. Elected in 2022, he holds the distinction of being the first openly gay Black man to serve in the California Legislature and the first Black person to represent Riverside County. Previously, he served on the Riverside County Board of Education. Jackson is a member of the California Legislative Progressive Caucus and holds Master and Doctor of Social Work degrees from California Baptist University.
