Craig Garland

Craig Garland is an Australian politician, fisherman, and environmentalist serving as a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly for the Division of Braddon. First elected in 2024 as an independent, he has campaigned on platforms including affordable housing, energy reform, and the establishment of an anti-corruption commission. A long-term critic of industrial salmon farming and native forest logging, Garland maintains a grassroots political approach. Following his re-election in 2025, he has remained a vocal independent, notably advocating for cannabis law reform in Tasmania.
