Cristián Tapia Ramos is a Chilean politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile for the 4th District of the Atacama Region. Before entering national politics, he had a long career as a trade union leader in the mining sector and served as the Mayor of Vallenar for three consecutive terms between 2008 and 2020. A former member of the Movimiento Amplio Social, he was elected to his current parliamentary seat in 2021 as an independent candidate running under the Party for Democracy quota.
