Cynthia Block

Cynthia Block is a Canadian politician serving as the 29th mayor of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, having been elected in November 2024 as the city's first female mayor. Prior to her mayoral tenure, she served on the Saskatoon City Council for Ward 6 from 2016 to 2024. Before entering politics, Block worked as a journalist and news anchor for CTV News Saskatoon. Her political platform focuses on urban development, public transit modernization, and addressing homelessness through collaborative intergovernmental partnerships.
