Dáire Hughes is an Irish politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Newry and Armagh since 2024. A member of Sinn Féin, he previously served as the final Mayor of Newry and Mourne District Council and held the position of Deputy General Secretary for his party. Hughes has an extensive background in the community voluntary sector and as a trade union representative. In line with Sinn Féin's long-standing policy of abstentionism, he does not take his seat in the Westminster Parliament.
