Dai Le is an Australian politician who has served as the federal member for the Division of Fowler since 2022. Born in Saigon in 1968, she arrived in Australia as a refugee in 1979. Before entering federal politics, Le worked as a journalist for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and served as a councillor for the City of Fairfield. She is the first refugee and Vietnamese Australian elected to the Australian House of Representatives. As an independent, she focuses on local community needs, including cost-of-living issues and economic stability for her constituents.
