Daisuke Nakamura is a Japanese politician and clinical psychologist currently serving as a member of the Hyogo Prefectural Assembly representing Kita Ward, Kobe. Born in Nagasaki and raised in Kobe, he experienced the Great Hanshin Earthquake, which inspired his career in mental health care. Before entering politics, he worked as a school counselor, a criminal psychologist at Kakogawa Prison, and a journalist for the Kobe Shimbun. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified public psychologist who has focused his professional and political efforts on suicide prevention, education reform, and support for vulnerable populations. He advocates for modernizing administrative systems to better address contemporary social issues such as child poverty and social isolation.
