Dan Cruce is an American nonprofit executive and politician serving as a member of the Delaware Senate for the 1st district since 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he won a special election to fill the vacancy left by Sarah McBride. Prior to his legislative career, Cruce served as the Chief Operating Officer of United Way Delaware and held various roles in education administration, including Deputy Secretary and Chief of Staff at the Delaware Department of Education. He is the first openly gay man to be elected to the Delaware State Senate.
