Previously, he represented the 18th Senate district from 2017 to 2025 and has served as the Assistant Majority Leader of the Senate since 2019. Before his legislative career, Feyen worked for three decades in the printing and bindery industry in Fond du Lac and was active in local Republican Party leadership. He currently chairs the Committee on Economic Development and Technical Colleges.
